Day 282 of 365: Steph
One of my favorite parts about our new company is getting the chance to meet so many different people and get a glimpse inside a lot of different company cultures and dynamics. This can be both fun and frustrating, because when you only see the tip of the iceberg, you aren’t always in the best position in terms of sales.
We had a meeting today that I think went really well. Most of the attendees at the meeting were upbeat and friendly. But the decision maker in this meeting had the best poker face that I have ever seen! And if you know me, you know I’ve played my share of poker!
So we’re just gonna wait and see how it all unfolds. If there is one thing I’ve learned over the course of this experience so far it’s that even the most positive meeting can result in nothing where a less promising conversation could turn into repeat business. You just never know.
After the meeting, we needed to eat. So we decided to go to a restaurant on the way home. And since we needed to stop anyway, we decided to make it worth it. And since we aren’t preggo anymore, we decided to make it REALLY worth it!
